Overview of Trade Controls

As one of the United States’ (U.S.) largest importers and exporters, operating with a global footprint, it is the policy of DuPont de Nemours, Inc. (DuPont) to conduct its operations in a manner that complies with all relevant import and export control regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), the sanctions and embargoes administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the U.S. Treasury, antiboycott and conflict minerals regulations, Custom’s import regulations as well as the analogous laws and regulations of the other countries in which we conduct business. Strict adherence to these laws and regulations is required of every DuPont employee whose work causes, affects, or supports trade. Our corporate procedures provide checks and safeguards at key steps in our export compliance process to prevent transactions that may be contrary to these laws and inconsistent with the company’s best interests.

Embargoed Countries and Sanctioned Parties

The U.S. maintains economic sanctions against specific countries, businesses, organizations, and individuals. Business with these restricted entities may be restricted or prohibited under the EAR and/or OFAC’s regulations. The restrictions and prohibitions imposed may be limited, absolute or financial in nature. For this reason, DuPont policy generally restricts business relations with the following embargoed destinations: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the Crimea Region and to individuals or entities listed on any of the U.S. Government sanctioned party lists, or any similar applicable restrictions maintained under other relevant countries’ export laws and regulations, without first obtaining government authority where and when feasible. DuPont products may not be diverted to these sanctioned countries, organizations or individuals nor may they be used directly or indirectly for proliferation of weapons of mass destruction or other purposes inconsistent with their original commercial design and intent. DuPont’s internal policies and tools actively seek to prevent such activities.

DuPont Statement on Suspending Business Operations in Russia and Belarus

As of March 15, 2022, DuPont has decided to suspend its business operations in Russia and Belarus.
